Heres the plan moving my 180g aquarium in short..

6. 3 30g Brute trash cans (own)
7. 6 5g buckets (own)
8. Aeration pumps (own)
8. Hanging ceiling screws for Lights (to be purchased)

Plan in Action :

1. Get 80 gallon aquarium (holding container) for coral and rock

3. Same day , move stand and aquarium at new house. Set up with fresh 30g of new water
4. Drive back to old house , load coral and rock in 55 gallon ice chest and go to new house. Transfer water to brute trash cans. Set up at new house with pumps and heater.
5. Come back 2nd time and pick up fish with the 55 gallon ice chest. Transfer all remaining water to brute trash cans
6. Take apex , equipment during this trip
7. Transfer all fish finally. Setup apex to new wifi at new house keep params stable (Carx etc.)
8. Install hanging fixtures for metal halides at new house

Please reefers. Review and let me know what my blind eye is missing. The time is coming and I feel relaxed about it. Almost too relaxed...

Is vehicle space limited to 1x 55G cooler per trip?

Have you considered buying another cooler instead of 80G and using the coolers as holding containers, skipping all the transferring altogether? Then you can move the rock/coral/fish on the same trip if space allows.

I read that you should place a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood under the tank and lift from the sheet to keep it from "twisting" the tank and potentially compromising seams.

Also, look at the dollies that transform into a cart.
