Good day. I currently am dosing 9ml of soda ash at night with a kamoer x1 pump. This pump will only do 12 set times. I read that soda ash to kalk ratio was around 1/50ish. I can set the doser 35.5 ml x 12 times = 450ml. Seems like alot?

I see where the constant dosing pump comes in hand on a timer.

Is this possible with this pump? X1

I cannot comment on the pump, but the amount is correct and spread out over 12 doses should be ok if you add to a high
Flow area.

Okay thx for the reply. Probably going to start I little less and give it go.
I am confused. Are you only dosing 9 mls total soda ash or is that the nightly dose? Or are you adding soda ash to already using kalk? I am wanting to switch to kalk but evrything I read is confusing and talks about max saturation!

Can you set up a certain amout of mls of kalk based on your soda ash consumption?

I hope this makes sense! lol. I am getting new corals in and not going to switch right now anyway but down the road once everything is settled in!

I’m happy to sort out any issues that are confusing. There’s an exact potency relationship between any two supplements, though a pH rise can also boost demand.

I appreciate that. Its is so confusing to me! I am not one of those hi tech people and just an old lady reefer lol.

I will be in touch when I do the change. I just dont think its wise right now to change methods with a lot of new corals coming in!
