I'm moving back to the UK so I can retire in the lower-cost-of-living over there, after my wife was over-medicated into a coma and has had a hellish time ever since she came out it. It'll be a lot easier to look after her and the kid when I don't have to be in work to keep the healthcare.

I haven't had the time (or mental energy) to look after the tank, but now I have to sell the house etc. And I can't do that with a huge fish-tank taking up (and built into) one wall. So everything is going, the interior wall is coming down, the tank will probably be broken up and destroyed, but before I can do any of that I want to get the fish moved to a new home.

There's not too much left:
  • Two clownfish
  • Two Aiptaisia-eating filefish
  • One fox face rabbitfish
  • One tang - could be purple, could be kole. I really can't remember
  • One large-ish (6" or so) blue fish. I don't think I ever knew what this one was, my wife liked it and we got it... [edit: IKD identified it as a bowtied damselfish]
  • One blue chromi.
Local pickup only. Sooner is better, but weekends are all I can do. Too much to manage in the week right now.

In the vanishingly-unlikely event you want a through-wall tank, that's available for free pickup too once the fish are gone - see my tank thread to the left to get a feel for what it is.

man, im sorry about that...
Thanks for the nice thoughts :)

We've been trying to make it work for the last year, but ... she's not getting better. There really is no hope she will, and it's just got to the point where I can't do everything. It's just me, her, and the kid out here in CA. Her father is ... remote. Her mother is in Costa Rica, and my family is 6000 miles away. Something had to give, and it has.

Update: So I met with the realtor yesterday, and he wants to try an as-is sale for a month or so, which means the fish-tank stays for the time being. If the buyers want to keep it, they can, if not, they'll factor that into the offer.

If we don't get any decent offers in a month or two, I'll be back here, and if no-one is interested in pick-up I'll take them to the LFS.

Sorry for the noise (well, unless the house doesn't sell as-is...)

Good morning. Any luck selling the house with the tank installed? I personally don't have capacity to remove it (I am not local to your area), but I have some family/friends out that general way who might be interested if you need it gone.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you need help, so I can get an idea what it takes to move a beast like this and then I might be able to reach out to some folks.

Also, no apologies necessary for the "noise." That's the whole point here.
