What do you mean? Sorry new to this hobby lol

Don't use distilled water to calibrate the unit like most of the included instructions say.

Buy (or make) a calibration solution. Being new I would recommend buying one vs making your own at this time.

Something like this:

It’s a brand new tank but will start out with corals and fish later on

If your going to be adding corals you'll want to be in the 1.025-1.026. pick one and try to maintain it.

People do run tanks higher and lower, and you could too, but 1.025 is fine for fish and corals.
