Hello
My midas blenny which is currently undergoing QT has been acting strangely in the last few days. Seems to be gasping. Oxygen levels are fine, as are the other usual suspect parameters. Is this normal behaviour and i am being paranoid over nothing? Video attached

Strange to say the least- 42+ years and have never seen this however the behavior represents both yawning and listless behavior associated with flukes. Adding an airstone will help somewhat.
Any scratching, loss of appetite you have also seen?

I’ve never seen that either, very strange.

Flukes would be the best guess diagnosis.

Yeah I've done a tonne of research and cant find any similar posts about this behaviour either. Frustrating for sure. Do you think i should stop copper and try prazipro first?

To keep things in check, you can safely add Ruby Rally Pro wthout moving the fish.
What foods are you feeding ?

garlic is an immune system booster and should be used periodically. The diet is insufficient. While mysis is good, its also fatty.. Some other foods you want to add are foods with spirulina, Hikari algae diet, chopped mussel, small plankton, chopped clams and Fed at least three times daily
If allowed to starve, they may begin to feed off their liver

What copper are you using and how long have the fish been in it?

Copperpower, only for 4 days, slowly in the process of increasing to recommended dose
Oh - where did you hear about taking that long to ramp up coppersafe? You should not take longer than 48 hours. I bring fish up in two doses in 24 hours. Taking longer just allows any existing diseases to gain a better foothold.
