I just pre-ordered 2- 63" units and I can't wait to get them over my reef. Who else pre-ordered them? :D

Mines are going over a 10'x5'x30" tank. I had Kessil and led bars, but got tired of wire management. Starting with 2- 63" models and see how that works on my system. I'm really excited about these new lights from Reefbreeders.

Everything has changed from older photon v2 versions, led, optics, app, fixture is different and ip67 water resistant. I like them because they come in longer 63" fixtures and I can daisy chain them together.

I’m considering reefi lights but reef breeders was another option. Didn’t know they were coming out with a new light.

I was too, my buddy has the photons over his reef and loves them, but I didn't like the controller. I loved the spectrum and heard nothing but good things about reefbreeders. Only thing I dont like about reefi is the app, and the fact that I would need a bunch of them to cover my reef real estate. Im going from 30 plugs to hopefully no more than two or one if I can daisy chain them together and use one power source. I would probably use two to not over use one ballast.

I love my photon v2, and tbh I don’t see a reason to upgrade to meridians. What I have works and these are the most expensive leds reef breeders has released. If I had a new tank and needed a light I would highly consider, but I don’t see how the money could be justified over a perfectly good photon v2.

Meridian 45 = $1300
I can probably sell my photon 48 for 500$

Will I get 800$ of noticeable improvement ? That’s subjective to the buyer. But I have no limits in my reef related to my lighting soooo…gonna be a pass from me. It’s a nice fixture though I wouldn’t rule it out in the future

Adam at battlecorals already has these and was very excited and posted about how much he likes the new models.

Dang a 63 would be nice over my new 84x30x25 tank since I'm not lighting the ends. Too bad I already built a t slot mount for my 6 noopsyche. But six power bricks and six cords is a hassle. :thinking-face: Any info on the mounts that will be available? I have a couple photon v2 and the tank mounts and bot mount work but the bot always tips forward a bit and isn't great looking.
