I recently bought some nassarius snails from PetCo for a tank I had just idly cycling but I’m not certain they’re actually nassarius snails. The majority of the time they are on the rock work or glass around the algae. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them underneath the sand bed or even starting to poke around it. They’re also really active during the day which I believe is not really in line with nassarius snails. I’m not very familiar with either species but they also kind of look like dove snails to me. They’re about 1/2-3/4 inches best I can tel for reference. Just hoping to get two cents from someone else! Thanks :)

Found what I’m 90% sure are the other two I bought with the first snail. Thanks for the responses so far!

Definitely lightning dove snails. Reef cleaners sells this color variation. I have the plain black ones and they are my favorites. Fun fact, they can breed in a tank and their babies don't go through a free swimming larval stage.
