Hi, I recently switched over to the new Razor X series LED (60in) to light my 120gal. Thing is after acclimating my mixed reef for a month I can now start playing with the settings without stressing or burning them. My question for anybody out there is what settings I should follow with the 4-channel light settings? There are presets with the light but they just don't work for me. I would highly appreciate anybody's 2-cents who have had success with these lights, thanks guys.

What's the matter with the presets? At least on the old Razor's they were decent/acceptable.

(Knowing will help with guidance we offer.)

My corals really weren't opening up with the presets after a week of observation. It has been almost a month since then and I have dialed in to something I like based on the corals response. I know, good things happen slow. I really struggled with finding a setting after one of my acros starting turning white from the long acclimation process. In the future, I may stick with presets, mainly due to some new acropora frags. Which preset would be best for acros, Preset 1 or 2 do you think?

If you guys aren't using some kind of light meter to set up your lights, then you're guessing at the intensity....it's easy enough to stress out corals by switching lights...let alone doing it without a meter to help you match intensity levels with the old lights.

At minimum use a free lux meter app. A decent handheld meter is <$20 and much better.
