Hey all!

Hoping someone who owns these can weigh in. BRS has a smoking sale on these gyres, will they be too much for my 66 gallon cube (32x24x22).

I felt two turned down would be better than one single gyre, but are these overkill? I also have two Tunze 6040s which weren’t enough flow when this tank was setup previously. Thanks!

two, turned down is indeed better than one. i would go that route as i'd rather have more flow, than need to purchase another gyre outside of the sale.

I run two, on random flow set with 60% max, work just fine...

I intend to use them as part of my next build, so running at a reduced setting is better than having to upgrade down the line IMO.

I pulled the trigger on the Gyre XF330 Cloud Edition - Double Package as it was on sale for 342.00 at BRS. So I hope I love them.

That’s a good deal and yeah, running big pumps on a low power setting is a popular way to have quiet tanks while also buying gear that can be used for a future upgrade. A single Tunze 6095 powers my whole 30g nano on pulse at half power and it’s basically silent at this point.
