i am going to put together a frag tank. i have the pieces cut already. it will be 24 deep 36 long and 12 high. i am using lexan, (which is the brand name.) what is the best adhesive to use. i will be free handing it. no jig or mold. weld on 20- weld on 4- weld on 16? what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? and where do i find the stuff.
(if this works out well then i have coming your way chris.)

Gary,

I've always wanted to learn how to make acrylic tanks and in my research I have learned a few important things.

1). Acrylic must be cell cast and not extruded
2). Make sure your thinkness is correct for your tank height
3). Clean machined edges are the key to getting good seals
4). Practice, practice, practice gluing pieces together
5). Having a good miter saw makes good edges

BTW, let me know how it goes. I am in need of an overflow and a frag tank.

Thanks,

Luciano
