Well…. I was doing some installation on my system. Specifically, I just added a two part CA, and ALK apex doser onto the apex. Before, I was previously just Kalkwasser dosing with a separate ATO drip.

Lo and be hold, I accidentally kept the Apex doser running on “on mode.” Stupidly, I didn’t adjust my dosing sequence, and or turn off

Long story short, I dosed everything all together, all at once, and made a **** show in my tank. ☁️

My ALK bumped way up to 17.5 and PH 8.4. My calcium to 550+ thus my tank went super cloudy. Instead of panic and losing my . I decided to wait the next day.

I notice when I did a water change this morning that my tanks glass is super stained with KALK and Alkalinity! I tried buffing out with a scrubby, but the glass is still super stained like an old Kalkwasser reservoir!

My question is can this be “fixed” is there any hope? Can I drain it and hit it with some lemon juice, and combat the cloudy buffer stain? Or this tank beyond repair.

FWIW, The tank was purchased used and had some old scratches… lastly, I has just finished its 2 month slow cycle with everything according to plan.

thoughts?

See images.

Thanks! Give it to me straight! Haha

Not yet, but I can and will.

The glass feels stained. It has less stains in the area where the bacteria had settled on the glasses preventing less staining.

Calcium 550
ALK 8.8

The bacteria consumes so much alkalinity.
