Hello Randy. Yesterday i made your diy mag supplement using mag flake and epson salt. I know for a fact that i put the 7 1/4 cups mag flake, but do not know if i did the 3/4 cup epsom. I know i at least did 1/4 cup. If i just added the 1/2 cup extra now and did indeed put the 3/4 cup originally can i still use the mixture? Any ill effects possible?

It should be fine either way.

Extra Epsom salts means the potential for extra sulfates in the tank overtime. If it's got the 3/4 and you add another half cup it'll be stronger than the recipe and the dose will be off somewhat.

Lower Epsom salts means weaker solution and dosing will be affected.

Also, extra magnesium means potentially oversaturating the solution and magnesium could precipitate.
