Well, I’m thinking of making this tank a macro tank and I need a couple fish ideas. This tank is now fishless as all fish have been moved into the main tank.

So far, I’ve got the thought of a pair (or maybe trio) of Blue Stripe Pipes. Dimensions are about 2’x14”x2’. I’d probably aim for 5 (small) fish maximum but would want to stick to 3-4 fish.
If I did corals it would be softies but as I said, I’d rather focus on a macroalgae system and make it more like a tidepool.

some sort of scorpionfish/leaf fish may be interesting in a macroalgae tank, or even dwarf seahorses once the tank gets enough microfauna for them to feed on! Otherwise, any fish that like to interact with their environment would be pretty cool- plenty of gobies/blennies that could dart in and out of the algea. could have a more docile damsel for open water movement, a jawfish for the substrate, then gobies/blennies that can provide interest once you look a little closer.

while you are vacillating/thinking/pontificating go see macrolady ..
she (they) sent me some pretty clean (albeit small) samples…
if you want instant gratification (but at a higher cost) see Gulf Coast ecosystems and cop the red macro sampler
KP Aquatics for some pretty cool gobies

@i cant think is ordering from the UK, so they might not ship overseas.

But I'll also plug MosaicMacros, which has a really nice selection.
