Just firing this bad boy up after being out of the hobby a few months.

Currently the tank is cycling and I'm waiting for some shelf rock from marco rocks to finish off my aquascape.

when i saw the first pic. i thought the worst aquascape ever! now the new pics have my imagination going imaging what type of corals id have on each shelf!

Well, tank is "fast-cycled" now.

Added some chromies to start the cylce off, of course those *******s died. Oh well. Got some maroon clowns for now (pics below).

Also added my first frag to the tank, WWC/Vivid Original Riddler Chalice. Can't wait to load this tank up!

Have a decent HOB skimmer coming from a buddy and a K1 for flow this week. Pulled the trigger on a 453nm stunner strip to add some more blue to the tank as well.

If I can give some advice that you didn't really ask for, Take it slow. If you rush it to fast, you will heading for a big disappointment.

BTW I love the aquascape.

I hear ya on the taking it slow. I wanted to try the fast cycle method (fritzyme and fish cycle) however. Its worked out for several friends/vendors that I know, so its worth a shot.

are you planning on adding more fish too tank? think the clowns will get really agressive to other fish in such a small tank

yeah i was about to say that! those maroon clowns get mean as a mug! they will even chase you hand out of the tank! haha! but if those are the only fish you should be ok! i would sell em for some smaller true percs or a high end snowflake picasso baby! you should also get a tiger pitsol shrimp goby combo since you went sand! to get you substate clean! what filtration are you using? and do you have a skimmer?

get rid of HOB skimmer! and get a tunze 9002. and it fits perfect in first chamber! and you can make a two stage filter under it! that is made of baffle spounge (stage1) and abouve that hbh cut to fit poly filter! for (stage2) email me for more info..


ALSO dose TLC for saltwater (additive) once every water change. its an unknown gold mine!

i think they will outgrow the tank pretty fast too.. but if u have plans on moving them into bigger tank when the time come, i see no problem with it

Ordered my Mp10ES, EcoXotic Stunner strip (transformer is back ordered though). They should be in tomorrow, minus the transformer for the leds.
