We love them, some people have complained about them not being accurate but we have been using them since they first came out and we have had ZERO issues. We also dont let the reagents run out and recalibrate when we switch out the liquids.
Awesome! Thanks a ton for the info :)

is the trident a pretty solid tool? Was wondering how good they are
They're good, but not bulletproof. Ignore Neptune when they say you don't need to calibrate it; I took that to heart when I first got mine and got a rude awakening after my first ICP test. Now I re-calibrate it every time I swap out the reagents.

The hoses it uses are also VERY narrow, so salt or reagents can sometimes crystallize inside of them. It's relatively simple to clean them out when that happens, but the first time it happens you'll be thinking the thing is busted.

I am reading some ugly reviews now lol. Good to hear all the bad and good. Especially for that price tag

One must SMOKE KRAK in order to justify the pricing on its rarity
It is a stunning coral for sure. I guess for the same reasons some people are willing to pay hundreds for a torch or sps.
Can anyone please explain to me why grand master krak is so pricey?
Being from the Krakatoa family they can easily melt if not properly taken care of or cut too often. Alot of vendors and hobbiest grow these out just to chop them up as soon as they form a new polyp. You cant do that with Kraks, they will melt on you. We have let ours grow into a very healthy colony and only cut it a couple times a year. The reason they command the price is because of how delicate they can be and you have to properly wait to get babies out of them.

Okay someone educate me on bowerbunkis(i know I just messed up the spelling) please!
Here's how I've heard them described:

"They're thicc acans."

Basically, treat them like something from the Acan family, or a bit like a cross between a lobo and an acan. They really like to be fed.

ah okay! I direct feed my acans once a week and they seem happy. We broadcast feed the rest of the time but at least once a week they get meaty foods and then they also get reef chili.

Just set one up on my tank. My Ca reading is about 40ppm higher than my hanna checker, which is pretty close to the margin of error on the hanna. other numbers are spot on, so im more persuaded to trust the trident.
