Hello I need some help with my beautiful acan garden. I have lost about 50% of it in the last month. I am not 100% sure what the issue may be. I know for sure it is not brown jelly. I do know its some sort of bacterial infection makes be believe it is Slow Tissue Necrosis. Tissue loss begins on the rim of the acan head and then starts to spread to the rest of the colony issue is almost all my colonies are effected. I have done multiple Medi Coral dips "iodine" with no luck I will be doing a dip with Polyp Labs Reef-primer in hopes to save some of my acans. Does any one have any recommendations with this or has anyone dealt with this issue in the past and won?

Tank:
Cal 420
Alk 8
Mag 1350
NO3 4
PO4 0-.15

Light:
Kessil a360 has been dimmed since the issue began

Nothing has been added or changed to the tank.

Thank You All!

Any pics?
I will take some today when I do the Primer dip. It started on the bottom of the colonies so it took a while before i noticed i was loosing heads since the top heads still inflate and puff up. Tissue lose on the individual heads begins on the rim then spreads till it kills the entire head and moves on to the next

I would also try feeding them to see if they respond. You may want to try a diluted H202 dip as well. Is something nipping at them?

Do you have other coral in this tank that is doing well and growing?

acans and shrooms have always hated me. Zoas finally are tolerant, Xenia fear me , and NPS like my style, But....

Feeding is a must for mine as is potassium and aminos such as Seachem fuel and brightwell aminos. I have mine in moderate flow closer to the blues and they multiply like mice

Depending on volume - no. I would say bi-weekly to tri-weekly and moderate on feeding.
