Hi all,
I’ve got a fun one. My lps polyps have decided it’s going to get big and beautiful just to fly off of their skeleton on me. First it was my space invader. I kind of expect it to happen cuz pectinia are fickle like that with their skeletons and tips but then my acan did the same thing after being receeded for a while it opened up nice and big just to fly off it’s skeleton. The space invader has been tucked away in that rock for two months now. I know lps bailout is rarely successful but idk what to do with the polyps that are still alive they won’t reattach to their skeletons and I’ve had no luck gluing them to the rock work. This post is asking for any idea of what to do next.
About my tank:
0-5ppm NO3
0.01ppm PO4
~7.8 pH
8-11Alk
450ppm Ca
1400ppm Mag
I have a little 15g Aqueon I picked up from my local pet supplies. I threw I 70g aqua clear HOB filter on it so I can grow chaeto. I usually have my fuge light on 24/7. My nutrient bottomed out once and I got bad bad dinos so if it bottoms out for more than a week I switch to a reverse DT lighting cycle. I have a sand bed and lots of live rock. I dose with a Jebao but my tank only takes 2 ml a day of CaCl and NaCO3 from brs pharma pouch. My tank is over stocked I recently got a skimmer to get rid of more DOS because I think their build up was part of the reason my LPS jumped. My NO3 have always been low no spikes expected for when I lost power last summer and moved all my life stock to my friends tank so I could recycle my tank. I have two captive bred mandarin fish, one tailspot blenny, one blue neon goby, two black ocellaris clowns. Yes yes my tank is terribly overstocked and the water changes I do every other week are probably not enough but my mandarin fish are fat and I’m happy with that so please limit ur responses to LPS related discussions
Thank you friends
