I finally got a more Mg test kits, its been many months since I've tested. (I know I know).

I was shocked my tank is running at about 1200 per Salifert Mg test. I tested twice to make sure, then tested a fresh batch of TM Pro Salts and that is testing at about 1275. My questions are, is it normal for TM Pro Salts to be mixing at around 1275, and what should I use to dose Mg in my tank? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Right now I only dose Tropic AFR to keep Alk up, but that about only 2.5 ml a day so I dont think thats enough to keep cal/mg up

My 20g IM Nuvo 20 is heavy with euphyllia and some Micro's and a Monticap and some softies. With that said, everything is doing really well.

Params:

Sal 1.025
Temp 77
Alk 8.3
Ph 8.3
Calc 420
Phos 0.05
Nitrates 6.0
Mg 1200

Tons of stuff to maintain MG.

I use Red Sea and Seachem AquaVitro, both worked well.
It takes a bit to get it up to say 1400ppm. I use the premix as it runs well through the doser.

I use Red Sea Coral Pro which mixes MG to 1365-1385ppm.
If your TM is mixing to 1275, Id say 1275 is what there.
