Hello community,

so this is my 3 days old 30Gallon Tank.

First of all, I spend many years discus breeding and come to the saltwalter last year. In everything I made before I was aiming for highend. But this time I want start with the low end and ignore all SPS and LPS corals. For me, that never had a real saltwater tank before, this is already beauty. So pls dont try to convert me ✌

Okay here is the tech:
30 Gallon tank
24watts of light, divided in 6500K and 9000K
3 Filter sponges
1 Filter Floss
3 Liter of Siporax
Filter Powerhead 600 Liter aiming at the surface for movement
Powerhead 500 Liter on the left back
Powerhead 1000 Liter on the right Front
100Watt Heater at 25 Celsius

Livestock:
5 KG Rocks from old tank
Xenias
Kenias
Glove Coral
Sacrophyton

4 Snails
1 Banded shrimp
1 maroon Clownfish

So here is my future Plan for the tank, im aiming for goos coral grow, some day alle rocks should be outgrowed with Xenia and Kenia. I dont add another corals. I cut them and make new frags.

Also I dont wanna add another fish. I love the maroon and im happy with this one.

About the rocks. I know it is not very much, I like this look. But I will add another 4 to 5 KG in the next 1 to 3 Months.

So my Vision is very clear what I want, the only thing I dont know is...
A) Waterchange 10% week
B) Dosing all for reef and do waterchanges only 1 time a Month or something like that

I like the challenge with dosing But on the other side, waterchanges are so quik and easy.

Cheers

Great tank and water changes should be fine until all your softies really start growing.

Then dosing would be nore stable for your corals...even softies like stability at some point hahah

Hey Community,

this weekend i upgraded my light.

I added two led tubes,

in the back a 6500k 10watts
In the front a 6500k 8watts.

So now to my questions, in the middle are the Original 2 Leds. This were a 6500k and a 9000k, i switched the 6500k to another 9000k.

So acutally i had:
2x 6500k
2x 9000k

Is that ok? I like the the look and hate the blue look. Is that a good coral spectrum or should I switch the 9000 also to 6500.

Thank you

Hey community,

so today I added another rocks.

My new led light works also good.

But I have the question about the flow.

The left pump is blowing 1000 Liter per hour. The Filter blows 600 Liter to the surface, because of a biofilm on the surface.

So is the pump on the left in good Position or should I change it? This month I have no money to add another
