Hello Everyone,
I have been in and out of the hobby for the past decade or so. My first tank was a 55 gallon freshwater setup. I was about 16 at the time and didn't know anything about anything. We had a few cichlids and a dragon eel(I think that's the name). My neighbor at the time was upgrading his 55 tall reef tank and offered to sell it to me.
I don't remember much about this tank, I only had it a few months. I had a pair of clownfish and a bunch of crabs. Here is the only known photo of the tank.
A family friend was looking to get rid of his 150 gallon tank. For some reason, I didn't see an issue with an unemployed teenager owning a 6’ long 150 gallon aquarium. Needless to say, I ended up not being able to keep up with it. Even getting water for the top off was becoming difficult. I have a few photos with this tank in the background. Here is the best I could find. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of it while it was running.
Quite some time passed and my now wife decided she wanted a nano reef. I helped with maintenance, but this was her project. We got a 15 gallon tank with a HOB filter and a Fluval Marine light bar. It has had its ups and downs but is still going strong today. I am hoping to upgrade this to a 40 breeder at some point.
That brings us to now. There was a 90 gallon tank at my LFS; it had been sitting for quite a while and the owner marked the price down to the point that I could not pass it up.
I will get to starting a build thread for this tank, but this is where I am at today.
I look forward to getting to know everyone
Also, if anyone has any opinions regarding my aquascape, please feel free to share.
Thank you,
