Hello lovely people! I am new to reefing so I apologize if this is a silly question - a few of my corals have developed these “sap” (algae?) bubbles on the frag plugs next to them. Any clue what they are? Normal or concerning? You can see the bubble well to the right of my coral at the base in this photo.

Welcome to Reef2reef! Those bubbles you are seeing is bubble algae. You should try to remove it as it will spread like any other algae.

Bubble algae, best to remove as can spread fast (and even smother corals in high nutrient tanks) though I haven't noticed much of a problem in my low-nutrient reef with them, pick them off (don't leave any of it behind!) And you're good.

Emerald crabs are supposed to eat those as well but all the ones I have ever had must have been on strike...
