I have a 55 gallon tank with a fuzzy dwarf lion fish and im wondering what tank makes i can get.

Right now I just have the one lion fish but I would like to get an eel, a fu Manchu lion fish, and i would like a flame hawk fish but I'm scared it might be too small.

i cant think

Stick to predatory fish, an eel in a 55G likely won’t work long term as most get too long.

You could have other lions in the mix depending on hiding spaces along with other scorpions.

Flame hawk would be fine, as long as it's not a small specimen with an adult lion.

A dwarf angel would get my vote.

If i got a baby snowflake eel how long could i keep it in there? I know they take a while to grow. Or if I would manage to find a golden dwarf eel would that be okay?

Would a full grown fuzzy lion fish be able to eat a coral beauty?
Fully grown CB, unlikely. Mine was a good 4 inches long, maybe larger.
Young CB, most likely.

Honestly I’m not too sure but I wouldn’t do it unless you upgrade to atleast a 4’x2’x2’ tank as once an eel is in a tank they can be a pain to remove.

I would pass on the eel in the tank size. Mines over 12 inches now and she likes to swim around a lot. And a coral beauty would be fine with a dwarf fuzzy

I’ve owned a few lion fish, IME they usually don’t bother with anything that doesn’t fit in its mouth
Agree. My volitan is a chicken, he wont even eat if someone is watching him. He lets his food fall and then sits on it until I leave then he starts eating lol. Runs away from is food pile if another fish tries to take it from him. Lol my fuzzy loves hunting her food but never bothers any fish

Btw what do yo feed yours? Ive just been feeding him some shrimp.
Mysis shrimp is good, but you gotta get the right brand. PE is big, which is good. Some are really tiny. Cocktail shrimp is okay if it's uncooked. Just chop it up. Any seafood counter stuff would be good. Mine ate flakes, believe it or not.

@lion king has info under his profile with diet info on lions and other animals. I use most of his recommendations (that are readily available to me in my area) but they do need more than just table shrimp in their diet
