Hello! I am embarking on my first saltwater aquarium. I am building this with my ten year old Grandson and we are quite excited to get started!
We have the Innovative Marine 25 gallon lagoon. We plan to have fish, live rock & eventually some corals.
My question is about lighting, I was thinking of starting with the AI 16HD Prime Smart Reef. Then possibly adding a second light when we are ready for corals. Does anyone have experience with this light? Would there be a better choice for what we are setting up? Thank you for any advice you can give.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!!

Ai makes some great lights. The ai 16 would be plenty for that tank if you are starting out with soft corals and easy lps. Its recommend spread is 24 inches which should be about what your tank is. If you want to get more corals and increase the light and coverage adding a second prime with one on each side would be perfect.
