I ordered an Innovative Marine 112 INT lagoon (one with internal overlfow, hence INT) and the dimensions are basically 36x(31 center 34 corners)x20. Tank is euro braced. I'm really struggling to find a lighting solution for this 36x36 footprint as things tend to either not have enough cover one way or another. Anyone have any ideas for proper coverage? Orphek Natura Icon claims 31x23. I've also considered G6 radions, either 1 xr30 or 2 xr15. All recommendations welcome, thank you.

If it was my tank.

I’d buy an ATI sunpower 36” 8 bulb and put a reef brite strip on each side of the ati.

If it was my tank and for some reason I absolutely had to go LED. I’d buy reef breeders. In this tank 1 XR30 or 2 XR15s will look like fireflies. That’s just my opinion. I’d forget about 15s in this tank. I’d be thinking more like 2 XR30s if you’re leaning Radion? isn’t this tank deep too? So spread isn’t your only concern it’s going to be penetration
As well.

I have the IM SR80 which is a lot more shallow than this tank. Significantly smaller tank. I have 2 hydra 32s ( got a jam up deal barely used) and 2 AI Primes (because I already had the primes). I’m hoping it will be enough light when I put the par meter on it.

The tank is only 20 inches deep. Why do you think it would look like fireflies out of curiosity? They have diffusers available if needed, no? I had reef breeder about 11 years ago and was pretty happy with it.

I thought it was a 36” cube I thought it was 30 or 24” tall. My fault

was exaggerating a bit with the fireflies comment lol.

But seriously 1 30 or 2 15s won’t be enough for that tank.

I literally just hung the lights yesterday. I have 4 xr15s. I went with a

I ended up with 4x xr15s with a diy mount consisting of a tv mount with 37 inch extension and 2040s (20 in) extruded aluminum for the cross bracing off the mount to affix the lights. Works very well and can swing in and out of the way. Only caveat is that the height isn’t adjustable so you’d have to be sure your measurements are correct when you lag it to the wall.

Look at Reefi Labs uno 2.1. They have a 24 x 24 coverage mounted 12 inches above water line. You could almost do 1 of these but I would place 2 on top of that tank. I run 4 on an 8ft 300g DT. They run slightly more than HALF the cost of a Radion xr30g6. So for about the same price as the Radion that won't be enough, you could have 2 lights that would be overkill for anything you want to grow. I am only using 125watts of the 270 available and I am getting 80 to 100 par in 27inches of water.
