Hi Everyone,

Does anyone happen to have a radion slider setting that they use to white balance photos on iPhone cell phone camera?
I have tried some of those on youtube where all the blue/uv channels are 30% and whites, reds, greens are 100% but it is too white and doesn't give me any coral pop in my photos.

Anyone have that "perfect" setting they don't mind sharing?

It would much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jared

Sort of depends on the "exact" model.
Anyways search the past..

I have problems with post production in Lightroom, so I just set my Radions at 14k like salty says. No editing needed.
I know this is an older thread, but I think it’s worth bumping up. I’ve always been frustrated trying to take pictures of the tank with my phone and I’ve made some half hearted attempts to play around with the settings on my radions to try to come up with something that works for pictures, but I had little success.

I just tried the settings shown above and they work great:) I can take beautiful pictures of the tank now without the camera getting overwhelmed by the blues.

I set up a profile on my apex called PhotoMode with the settings shown above (100% for each channel and 30% overall) and I set up a virtual outlet called PhotoMode that will activate the new profile on my lights when I turn it on. So now I can just turn on that virtual outlet whenever I want to take pictures of the tank

May not help with the blue gen5's.

Thank you so much for your advice! I was making a few mistakes. First your lighting profile is excellent, thanks for that. Second, I was using the wrong filter lens with my cell phone clip on filter. When I changed it to the 15k filter it was much better and it was very close to what I was seeing with my eyes.

What was weird though, maybe someone can explain this... When I went into camera mode the picture got even better than it was under photo mode. I am using the iPhone 12 pro.

Try this.. zero violet/uv (can add later) 25% each of the 2 blues .. rest 100%

Opps, pretty much the " too white" posted at the beginning..
Never mind.
Thank for the tip oreo. I tried that and it was sooo white that my camera picked up no fluorescence in the corals. But I will say the fish look the best under a more "white" light.

Just experiment - Hold your phone out and gradually move the sliders until you find a view you like - Then save that template as a scene for future use.

To be honest, without an orange filter you probably wont find much of a sweet spot for lighting. That orange filter is what allows you to keep the blues up to keep the "pop" and it blocks enough that our phone cameras dont get washe dout.
