HI,

Well i have a question for all of you zoas fanatics... and well you all have seen my tank i guess if not take a look.... currently i have 4x24w of pc 250/50 and 2 actinics and the colors are just good not excellent... and well
i was gonna ask what you think about me upgrading to a 70w 20k MH with 2pc...

my question is do u think is a bad idea since MH will be like 2-3" inches above water and higher zoas will be like 3-4" from MH thing so u think i will get burns out or bleach even if i aclimate right?? and also what u think on runing it with 2 UV glass just in case one will be like 1/2-1" away from bulb and other from 3" away from bulb or should i just use one or the other????

so advice please....

thx for your time guys..

Is there anyway to make the canopy a little taller? The uv glass isn't for the corals but for your protection. I do believe thay have started making DE bulbs with uv outer cases now but I am not intirely sure. I think if you could get the lights higher up away from the water surface you would be perfect with a 14k/20k.
