After our SWAM meeting tonight, I felt a like touring a couple LFS. Never made it past the first one because I found these:

GPE colony??

Acropora Turaki- Teal with purple polyps:

I don't usually buy acros, but after MeCold gave me one as a freebie, I've been thinking about trying one more. I don't want too many for the obvious problem of flow and my other guys in the tank, but I liked this one alot. I am hoping the big paly colony are GPEs- what do you guys think? They were losing color fast under the wrong lights, but I am hoping they still have enough to tell a little something about them.

that turaki really look more like a tort, very nice find!

LOL, this will make you giggle- the guy had it labeled as Acropora 'Turakawi', which is originally what made me check it out- I kinda went, "wha???"

I posted the pic in the SPS forum and asked them to id for me, since it was mislabeled to begin with. Could be anything, as far as I know. Most of my reefkeeping was fish, softy type stuff for the l_o_n_g_e_s_t time because that was all the LFS' had for sale. That was before I discovered the joys of the internet...
