Let's talk about increasing phosphates.

After my notices on my corals that every time my phosphates is at zero point,my corals first loose their colors little by little and they bleach at last.
So i need a way to increase it to an acceptable range because it is 0 with hanna test kits.
I tried feeding my corals and fishes more and more but it did'nt increase.
So i need to use phosphate salts such as NaH2Po4 ...
There are other salts such as kH2PO4 and Na3po4.
So whats the diffrence and which one is better to be used?
Or any other advices would be appriciated.

I have to metion that i do not use any phosphate absorber or anything else.There is just a little macro algae tank to control these parameters.And the nitrate is about 5 ppm.

Ive had this as a re occurring problem as well, try feeding heavy with something like nutrient packed flake food. Works very well for me.

It won't make any noticeable difference which of those you use. The amounts are too small to appreciably impact pH and alkalinity, which is the primary difference. Sodium vs potassium won't matter. I'd pick the cheapest or purest.

I've been using monosodium phosphate. Like Randy said, it takes VERY little. For my 80g total volume I'm dosing 40mg or less.

feed frozen rotifers,,do not stain water off,they are packed with PO4,,I feed twice a week and a day later i get a brown/green film on glass..maybe just a coinsidence but seems to be PO4 from my way of thinking

Lately I've been dosing 15mg every couple days. When I test for phosphates after a 2 days it's almost always 0.

Feed frozen rotifers like I noted before,,put water and all in your tank,you'll feed fish corals and Po4 all on one shot ...Dosing neophos will get you and algae bloom then you'll have that to deal with...BEEN THERE DONE THAT with neophos

Yes i have to.But i think every boddy in this hobby just cleans his glass with a magnet every 2 or three days.

I've had every known fresh water fish,shrimp and bred discus like guppies ,,I've converted to saltwater 3 plus years ago and have many zoa/palys in my 250+ gallon system...I've never had a Po4 reading on ANY test kit or checker but had plenty of algae dosing neophos,,,I feed 1 cube of rotifers a week and get all the Po4 I need in a very heavily stocked system and have algae to shoe for it..
Scraping glass is a result of Po4,No3 and dosing iodine..Plenty of other variables but these are the main reason of algae film on glass
