Small world! I read your post and thought about how I derivedd quite a few iterations of Carlson Surge Devices (various manifold configurations) over the years, then I clicked the video. That's actually my video, from my first real frag tank that I built years ago.

How to Build a Carlson Surge Bucket, Part​

I realized I had made a Borneman bucket, but now I want to try to build a small Carlson for the 55.

Cheap Dollar Store colander. After drip acclimating any fish I use this to gently 'scoop' them into the tank. You all probably think I'm nuts, but the fish generally go peacefully into the colander and can then be gently eased into the tank without injury from nets, etc. Something about the color also seems to have a calming effect on them.

Not too wacky, but stainless steel straw siphons come in real handy for sucking out invasive mushrooms and other offending bits.

Not sure of the exact measurements, but they are about the same size as drinking straws...so a little thin for some jobs. I got about a dozen of them on Amazon in a pack of straight and bent in different lengths.

Asked Noopsyche multiple times about making a longer flex arm for the K7 Mini. In the end got some M6 standoffs to make the end attachment longer:

dehumidifier for my cabinet to keep the electronics nice and prevent rust.
