I’ve had a “John Deere” leptastrea frag I got on a crazy sale ($4.99….) so I threw it in with my larger order without knowing much about it. It’s under fairly high lighting (around 175 PAR), but I worked it slowly up to that over 4 weeks. Medium flow. Nitrates 10 and Phos is 0 (working on it). I spot feed 3x/week and do weekly amino acids. I honestly had no idea this coral normally has more of fluffy exterior with protruding polyps! Mine has had no extension and looked more skeleton-y ever since it arrived. Its colors are still good and it’s actually spreading off the plug slowly, but I’m worried about the lack of polyp extension. Anyone have any thoughts?

TLDR: leptastrea has never shown any polyp extension since I’ve had it but seems happy enough. Concerning?

I'm thinking it might need to be in lower lighting, but then again if it's not bleaching then I guess it's probably ok. Idk if it was in my tank I'd probably bring it down the rock a little bit and see if it helps at all
