So, I did a major stupid and forgot to check the top of the lid before I opened it while I was feeding, and apparently I had lemonade sitting there that I forgot about and didn't see. There was about maybe a fourth of a mason jar worth of blueberry lemonade in there. Can anyone offer some advice, my fish are looking fine still, they aren't being super unhappy, the corals are though, except the GSP, that's still wide open, but I need advice on what to do. The lemonade contained lemon juice, blueberry puree, water, natural flavors, and cane sugar. I don't think any of these will hurt my tank, the tank is 40 gallons, but the only thing I can think of it affecting is my ph, but my buffering capability should be fine so I shouldn't have fluctuations in that. I'll probably still do a water change, but anything else someone can offer? You know besides not putting stuff on top of the tank anymore.

I think you will be fine. Just do a water change and run some GAC if needed.

That drink sounds delicious though....

I'd do a large water change. Make sure you have enough air exchange in case of a bacterial bloom from the sugar (carbon source) run some activated carbon.

Blueberry lemonade ?! You have great taste!
Really, I was just thinking the opposite!
I’ve never had it so I guess I can’t say anything.

As Jcole said, you’ll be fine! Do a nice good water change!
Your coral probably like Lemonade now!
You make this? Can you buy this anywhere? I like to give this a shot.

Nah, I don't make it, it's just the simply lemonade stuff from the store, is tasty though. The only coral that might like it are the green star polyps all the others closed and showed me they were mad. To everyone else who helped too, thanks, I think I'll be good and I'l definitely watch for a bacterial bloom, thanks all.

Your skimmer should make short work of the bacteria and everything else in the drink.

I think what you dosed is possibly good for the tank lol

after all, peroxide was discovered when someone spilled a whole bottle in their tank and all the algae died :)

Thankfully I finally got a skimmer a few weeks ago.

Maybe it was good, guess I'll have to wait and see, my fish that never swims or anything from some mystery disease was up and moving though after that. Guess he really liked the lemonade.
