Hi All, planning on getting 48” or 60” Deep tank. what lighting options would you suggest. I saw WWC have g4/g5 on 1500g(48 deep) tank. New Starton pro claims 1700 – 1800 par in 20cm below. I have just written to orphek as well. Depending on my lighting options I’ll decide if I want to go 48” or 60” deep.

thanks all in advance.

At 13.5" above the water line and 72% blues only my viparspectra 300w is 150+ at the sand on a 21" tall tank. With 1-5% whites on it goes up quite a bit. Grows everything in mixed reef. I've had radion, ai, orphek, maxspect. Orphek was my favorite in terms of overall but I didn't test with a par meter.

I should mention tank dimensions. 16 feet long 8 feet wide and 48-60 inch deep.

Orphek Amazonas 960 Icon

I heard from orphek and they recommended Atlantic icon. Claimed it penetrates 6ft. Suggested I would need 3 rows of 8 lights. Two rows of full size and one row of compact.I was reading the reviews and found out lot of burned out diodes and not great customer service.
