Two of my leathers are growing like crazy looking for advice about fragging/pruning

names of the leathers and fair prices for frags would also be appreciated.

May sell the round one a single piece, seems a shame to cut but it is overtaking the tank (100 g)

thanks.

If you can remove it from DT, do so. Sharp pair of scissors. Make clean cuts. I like to keep the main coral and frags overnight in a QT tank or container with some Iodine added. Move main back to DT the next day. The are a finger leather and a toadstool.

Thanks. I don’t have a quarrantine tank. Assuming they are ok in a bucket with circulation and temp control. How much iodine do you suggest?

of course, that is if I can get them out without destroying the entire tank

There is no way I can get the finger leather out, not without leaving chunks behind as it is attached to the overflow and other rocks. Is there a safe way to prune in the tank?
Yes, you can do it in the tank but run some carbon. Leathers give off terpenoids which can slow the growth of other corals. Carbon will help absorb them.
