Hello
I'm getting tired of changing my filter socks and washing them all the time so I was thinking about getting the klir di-4 v2 drop in roller
My concern is if it will fit.
I have plenty of clearance above my sump 15"
Below the filter sock holder chamber I have 11" till the bottom of the sump so plenty of room there
The water level can back up to a 2" depth before it will overflow the sock chamber so that will work
Its the opening of the sock chamber is my concern. The opening measures 4.5" wide and just under 9" long but it holds two 4" socks not one. Now the diagram on the website says it needs a 7.125-inch sump lid opening directly above the filter socks
But is that width or length or both. But if you look at the measurements of the di-4 it says its only 4 1/8" length and width. So I think it should fit. But does anyone have any actual experience installing one that can tell me what measurements it really needs? Also how does it work for you? Is it worth the money not to have to change and wash socks all the time?
I will attach some pics of my sump area and pics from websites showing the measurements

It will fit. You'll need to decide if you want one in each hole or just one. If you decide to go with one you need to buy the cap they sell to plug the first hole. Or you can make your own plug.

Definitely very cool not to use socks. Also the filter keeps the water very clear.
