Can anyone tell me what kind of kenya Tree this is or if it is Kenya Tree? I see there are lots of different corals that look similar or at least at the LFSs I go to they all have different names.

I would just call it a "kenya tree"...or just a "leather" if you want to be less specific...

Looks like a toadstool in the back...or another "leather"

I did think maybe this was a Taro Tree. I usually see many corals that look like Kenya tree in the LFS, maybe different color shades, but they usually have just the latin names.

Those things reproduce like a $2 ******, rumor has it that a guy once flushed one down the toilet and they were reproducing in his drain system.

Yes, it does seem to be dropping babys a lot now. Which is why I wanted to know exactly what it is, so maybe I can sell, trade or give it away.

I got one for $5 and it was the size of a booger....it ended up growing the match the height of the tank...I decided to sell it; took it out, and as I lifted it, a piece dropped off and now that little piece is as big as the last colony.

I have a separte tank for the " land of misfit corals" it also has a large sump, where questionable critters go, this tank has several different kinds of kenya tree in there, it has developed into more of a softie tank, for some reason this "catch all" tank is fast becoming one of my favorites, one thing I have found is that there are always new people getting into the hobby, a lot have bio cubes etc, that are there first salt water tanks, it makes a good coral to give them, and trade around with, it is easy to grow, and it helps build there confidence, in the salt water hobby, not a real recomended coral for a 200-300 gal sps dominated tank with lots of rock work and power heads that will spread this thing like wild fire, lol
