Can I keep an anemone in a basket or confine it to one side of a tank so I can house seahorses in the same tank too? I’m just starting my cycling so it will be awhile before I get one but I am trying to plan ahead. Are there certain anemone’s that can co-inhabit with a seahorse or that do better in baskets. When I go into stores sometimes they have them in baskets but I’m not sure if they can be kept in them long term also if I put a divider in what would be escape proof for an anemone?

why would you want to house a very delicate species with an aggressive one?
the nem will find its way out or the seahorse will think it can hold on and get pulled into the nem and eaten

Anemones and seahorses should not be in the same tank. Seahorses have skin instead of scales so they are very vulnerable to any kind of sting.
Thank you! That’s why I was asking I wasn’t sure if I could put tank dividers or a basket in to keep the anemone contained. I definitely don’t want anything bad to happen. I’m still planning my tank I can only have one right now!

if you want seahorses you can do a tank with them and a bunch of gorgonians
they can hang on to those
don’t look similar to nems but there’s some pretty cool ones out there
