Does anyone put grease on the kamoer x1 pump heads? Mine is a little loud and I wanted to grease it but can’t find anything about it, full disclosure it’s not exactly the kamoer x1 but the pump head is exactly the same

I wouldn’t. If you get it on the drive spindle it will slip. You can use silicone grease
The head is just 3 floating wheels set in the protective tube housing. Even a drop of water on the wheels transfers to the spindle, preventing drive. I’ve had it happen on the DD version of the X1.I don’t think the drive spindle is press fitted. There should be a set screw to hold it in place
Thank you!You can use silicone grease
I’m just going to put it on the tubing then so that doesn’t happen, the spindle kind of looks like the GHL doser 2.1 setupI wouldn’t. If you get it on the drive spindle it will slip.
Here's a kamoer pump head. The motor shaft just gets stuffed in there and it directly drives the wheels that are in contact with the tubing. If grease gets on those wheels, the motor shaft it going to slip. On something like a Versa, the wheels are in contact with the tubing but aren't anywhere near the motor shaft, so grease on the wheels isn't going to transfer itself to the shaft (which I suspect it splined anyways).I don’t think the drive spindle is press fitted. There should be a set screw to hold it in place
The motor shaft will spin without driving the wheels and it won't move anything through the tube.I added a small amount of grease on the tubing it seems to be working out good, if it slips what will happen?
Depends. My Kamoers make plenty of noise even with the head removed. Will be quiet though, lol
It seems quieter and it seems to be working fine, I didn’t put very much on there, just enough to keep it from squeakingThe motor shaft will spin without driving the wheels and it won't move anything through the tube.
Quiet and useless lolWill be quiet though, lol
Most of the noise went away, I for sure will thank you!!!Did the noise go away? Just keep an eye on your dosing additives and your perimeters
