Hey there reefers. I am looking to get my first auto water tester and the one that I am most leaning towards is the Kamoer Reef Master SPA. I have a few of their dosing pumps and am quite a fan. One issue is currently you can get one in Australia NZ and Singapore but no release mentioned for the US. I am part of the FB group for Kamoer.

Anyone on the forums have inside info when it will be coming to the US?

Thanks.

As a user myself, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not a mature and polished product, and the performance is not very satisfying.
Can you expand a bit on that? I'm planning on buying either the Kamoer SPA, Mastertronic Essentials, or HYDROS Maven once all are released in the US...so learning more about real-world experiences would very much help me (and probably others) make an informed decision on which device to go with

I for sure wouldn't get Mastertronic period. Focustronic support is trash. Hydros Maven looks promising. Kamoer SPA has some issues but company working them out why not released yet I suppose. Issue with Kamoer maybe talking to Hydros why leaning towards Maven.

Ca/Mg/kh side wasn’t very stable and somehow gets an obvious bump or low reading every 10 tests or so, that error range is about 30 ppm in ca, 80ppm in mg, 0.5 dKH for my machine.
No3 always reads 0.00 when my Hanna Low range nitrate checker reads about 1.50. It only starts to detect when no3 level above 1.7 so basically useless. Po4 works fine and my tank never gets higher than 0.15ppm. Some people got issues when phosphate levels are much higher but that’s no problem for me.
Kamoer is trying to fix known issues but so far no luck.

And you can tell from secondary market in China. A used piece is now about half the price of a new one, only 6 months after the intial launch.

Im going to add to this thread and agree - the Reef Master seems very rushed, and I've been waiting on calibration fluids since February, with Kamoer saying "next month" they'll be released, but we still don't have calibration fluids. I've also found support from Kamoer pretty average.

I purchased the unit mainly for no3 and po4 readings, and have never had accurate results, with po4 always measuring low, and nitrate measuring 0.20, even though in reality, according to an ICP, nitrate was around 11.

Stay away from these units for the next year or so while they work out the bugs - hopefully calibration fluids will be here by then too!

I bought a Reefbot Lab the first week of May still waiting for it to ship. They took down their shipping time page and have gone silent. Sigh

I know this is old thread, but I still have not seen a release date for this yet even though it appears to have already been released in a couple other countries already. Reviewing the footage I can find on it, the reagents used by this system appear to be very similar to what Coral Vue Hydros Maven is using.

Coral Vue is the US distributor of Kamoer Aquarium products.

Is it possible the US will not get a release date for the the Reef Master SPA because the Hydros Maven will be here in stead?

Possible. I couldn’t wait any longer so I got a Reefbot Lab
