Hello all. I just purchased my first live rock yesterday. I found several hitchhikers already, but could really use some ID help. Let me start with the most intriguing find. Among a piece that has lots of worm or snail tubes (some appear occupied), I found this guy hiding in a crevice. I'm also wondering if these tube are beneficial or if I just started my tank out with an infestation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, snails. There are a few of these guys. Good or bad?

Thanks! That's what I though, but wanted another set of eyes to review it! Appreciate the feedback. I pulled that piece of live rock from the tank (it was only .5" x 8". I'm thinking of boiling it on the stove and then putting it back in the tank. What are your thoughts on this? I thought maybe the unoccupied tubes would provide a shelter for the pods I've seen swimming around the other rock. Also, the above snail, good or bad?

Boiling live rock isnt a good idea...there are many better ways to sterilize it. Personally, id just put it in hydrogen peroxide and let it soak. Others would use bleach or other alternatives.
