I know we are all consummate professionals so who will own up to some savagery. Who here has:

1. Suck started a siphon
2. Bare fisted something dead out of their tank
3. "Adjusted" salinity by throwing pure salt into return sock or somewhere else
4. Hand cleaned the skimmer cup
5. Dosed anything by SWAG (just eyeballing it)
6. Smelled a used filter/skimmer/media bag/etc on purpose

Im sure no one here does these things, but anyone here want the bonus points for carelessly starting a siphon and spitting the water back into the tank? :grinning-face-with-sweat:
I do all of these in a weekly water change, it’s nasty but hey it’s fun and part of the hobby ;)

All except swag a dose but I manually dose alk only so it's not like it's a big deal to measure it. I must admit I'm getting pretty darn good starting a syphon without getting water in my mouth. The worst part in when I'm not paying attention to the hose and end that goes in my mouth is covered with cob webs and dog hair. Give me dirty tank water any day.
Most of my maintenance is done in an unfinished basement for those of you squeaky clean folks that think having dog hair and cobwebs is nasty. Well it is but I live with it ;)
Even worse than cobwebs or dog hair, I stuck the the wrong end of the siphon in my mouth to restart it after I was scraping/siphoning aiptasia off the glass. OUCH!
