I was going to mow today, but some pretty good storms came through and ruined those plans. I did get one of the 4 lawns done before the rain though. That only leaves 2 big and 1 small to do tomorrow. Anyway.... Here are some pictures, starting with a FTS, this one is not very SHARP though, I should have used a smaller aperture. I think I need to thin out some of the caps, and make room for NEW STUFF!!!

Thanks! The substrate is Gray Coast from SeaChem, it is a deep gray, not quite black.

Well, that is a tough question. The substrate was placed in the tank after a move, so I really didn't have a true cycle. I had moved established rock, but replaced my sandbed during the move. I did have a period of brown diatoms, and then a brief stint with Cyano in the first few months after the move, but now, 6 months later things are doing pretty well.
