Been working on a new build and I sprained my ankle right after I got water in it. So as I’m laying here staring at a tank I can’t cycle, figured I’d post a build thread
Equipment:
Jbj rf 65 gallon
2x ai primes
2x ice cap gyre 2ks
tunze osmolator 3155
2x eheim jager 150w
Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9012 (on the way)
2x inTank media caddies (on the way)
Rockin stock return pumps for now
50 ish lbs of reef saver rock that’s been smashed up and glued and cemented back together

I’ve got my IM nuvo 20 still running in the other room with 1 clown and a few corals. Got the Dr Tim’s ready to go. I’m just not physically ready to fight to capture the clown and pop him in with the one and only due to bum ankles.
Here’s some pics and what not

Proof of osha approved work stoppage on nakatomi plaza (that’s what I’m calling my tank since they were both under construction on Christmas) but ya know what? I don’t think I’m gonna let this swollen kankle keep me down. I’ll see if my lady will catch that clown for me. I hate sitting here without it cycling

I don’t see how that skimmer will fit in any of these chambers. I would love to run the 9012 but how?

No. It’s not the prettiest but I had a spare reactor and pump so figured why the hell not. the k1 has been great. Alway a thick black cup and nitrates rarely break 5ppm in fact there’s times I’ll shut it down for a couple days to let nitrates come up.

On paper, the 9012 dimensions seem to be just the right size for the second chamber. What prevented you from fitting it in the 2nd chamber?
