Jackson Area Reef Club Meeting

January 19th @ 6pm

41 Cascade Cove (Wrights Mill Subdivision)
Jackson, TN

Dirty Santa is the theme for this meeting. You can bring a frag of coral or a small gift to participate in this. You don't have to play Dirty Santa, but it will be one of the activities. Due to the nature of the game, it doesn't have to be a real nice coral. It can be a war of who gets the underwater kudzu that will run rampant through the reef.

Details from our host:

Our host is planning on smoking a pork butt and having pulled pork sandwiches. Members can bring a side dish and byob is an option.

We will give away some prizes and talk a little reef.

Yes, This will be a Dirty Santa meeting. You can bring a coral or a small gift for the reef. Remember that this is Dirty Santa, so it doesn't have to be a great coral. You can let people trade the Xenia until someone is stuck with it. :xd:

The host said you are welcome to bring side dishes, so you could bring something more to your liking. There may be something else brought that you may like as well.

our club has grown since last year. But the number responding to this post has really not. If you are a member, and able to spend a few hours with fellow reefers, I recommend you to come. I have learned a lot from talking to knowledgable guys, I have visited the houses/tanks of several club members as a result to talk shop, and it is so nice to put a face to a name.
Markus, maybe you should consider a bigger raffle price for people attending to entice people to come. Nanotanks seem to get a good response judging from recent raffles. Maybe BSL can help out with a fat discount? (cough, cough!).
