it depends,
they take off (overgrow everything!) in some tanks, die off in others.
(i wouldn’t take a chance though)

It appears the only way to get rid of it is either a fish that "might" eat them but could eat the corals you don't want it to or treat the rock with a chemical or scrub it. Neither of those is a good option for me sadly. Could I put an aggressive coral next to it and kill it that way?
