Any ID on this isopod that came off during a dip? It didn't curl when dying and I had read the good isopods "Roly Polly" . This thing was larger than a small astarina that came off as well.

Looks like a Sphaeromatidae isopod. Which are harmless compared to cirolanid ones, the eyes are far apart on the one you have so its most likely the safe one.View attachment 3173620
I thought it kind of looked like it, but the "pincer" tail seemed wider. It didn't go into the tank, but what a weird little bugger.
