Let's go on a tour of the GHL production and testing facility :)
Our passion has always been to produce aquarium products for hobbyists and professionals who put reliability and safety above all. Through the years, our company has earned a reputation for producing rock solid products that last the test of time.

Make no mistake! There's a reason why research labs and universities all over the world trust in our products to give them the reliability and accuracy they need. We design and produce all our products to the highest degree of quality.

How do we do that?
By handling the entire development and production process under one roof!

GHL production room: Where it all happens
At GHL headquarters, we are meticulous when it comes to product design and development. From cutting and milling plastic and aluminum to board design and assembly, our production room is equipped with all the necessary hardware and equipment to successfully plan, design, build, test and assemble products.

We use this to design and cut the housings and aluminum parts of our products.

Our development floor
Here is where we stock all our parts after they've been printed and assembled by our machines.
Testing and assembly happens here too!

Hardware development: 100% handled by GHL
Instead of outsourcing the critical phases of design and production, we choose to do it ourselves because we want to make sure each and every product is tried and tested to perform reliably today, tomorrow, and beyond. Doing it this way allows us to oversee the entire process from start to finish.

After all, our customers deserve to get the best in quality and reliability.
Here's a few photos of recently printed boards. The last photo shows an LED cluster board being soldered.

Software development: 100% handled by GHL
Our production capabilities also extend over to software development. With the tools and machinery to produce our own boards, we are able to test them with our software on-site.
No waiting for production boards to arrive in the mail. Once our machines solder the chips onto the boards, we can begin testing.

Here's how we test out our boards and software for the ProfiLux 4 controller.
First we test the mainboard, then we run tests on the piggyback board which has the remaining ports.

Assembly...100% handled by GHL
Because we've designed the products ourselves and printed our own boards, we feel it's only right to also assemble them ourselves.

Here is a shot of the KH Directors being assembled at our facility...
Our team takes care of the assembly process for each product, one-by-one. That allows us to achieve and even higher quality control standard.

Extensive quality checks
From the moment the board is printed, each component is put through numerous tests to make sure every piece is working as intended. Whether we're testing our controllers, dosing pumps, lighting units, or accessories, each product gets the same quality treatment.

Here's a shot of a freshly printed LEDControl4 V2 board undergoing testing before assembly.

Packaging: We do that too!
After we finish testing the boards and electronics, we give the products once last check before being taken over to the packaging area.
Here is where our packing staff carefully inspects and packages the products before being given the final sticker of approval.

Our machines in-action
Here's a video of our SMT machine producing the LED boards for our Mitras LX7 LED fixtures.

That's it for now!
We'll update this thread with more photos very soon. ;)
