Is this some sort of a sponge in my paly? Shall I kill it or ignore it? paly and tube worms seem not to be bothered.

This is sponge for sure.To be honest I don't know how to kill it but i wuldn't do anything near this coral(danger caused by palytoxin and this is very easy to keep coral so this sponge shouldn't kill him)

Just pick it out of the zoas. Use a pick or tweezers or hobby knife. Dont lick the tool or your fingers and keep them out of your eyes until after you wash them (your fingers and/or the tools).
Or, inject H2O2 into the sponge
