Was thinking the same thing....Dude... why?
Why would you want to put that in your tank?
I do this too! Currently at 19%, so I might make it the rest of the night! Maybe....Phone at 2%. You live dangerously lol
I am entirely with you!Dude... why?

Yes a good heater is not something to cheap out on. 70$ for a 1000w heater is not something I would trust.I am entirely with you!
My take is that the Hygger brand name is pretty well regarded as a reliable, budget alternative to more expensive gear.
But, that thing is, in my humble opinion, a word that apparently was filtered out by the R2R system. I'm sorry, I typically try to be positive, I'll show myself out........
It's also a wattage made for very, very large aquaria. How big is your tank? If this thing fails in the "on" mode, you may be looking at a 'seafood boil' :-(
If you want/need a heater controller, and I would suggest that you run one, a lot of reefers here like the Ranco or Inkbird controllers, short of a full-on Apex setup.
For heaters, I've had good luck with the Cobalt NeoTherms, though they're expensive and back in the day they were prone to failing in spectacular fashion (look that up!). I've also had good luck with the Ehiem Jagars, though they are super LONG; measure your sump space or filter space before ordering. And my current go-to for a budget heater that has been pretty good to me (largely in freshwater tanks, or saltwater water change buckets) is this one:
Best of luck!
Yeah I understand I just don’t know what one would be the best. Would around 200$ be ok for heating a 150 gallon? Or would I need to spend more. I didnt want to cheap out I was just wondering if that is legit. Would 600 watt be good?Just to clarify, not a hater. But there are certain things you want to be safeguarded and reliable. A heater is one of those things. Buy the best you can afford and make sure you have a backup...
I run an eheim 300w on an inkbird controller, both about 10 years old.Yeah I understand I just don’t know what one would be the best. Would around 200$ be ok for heating a 150 gallon?
