Looks like it. If you’re using RODI or distilled water then it’s just part of the ugly phase and it will in time if you’re diligent with your nutrients. If you are using tap water, it likely has a source of silicates which diatoms feed upon. If you are using tap water, get yourself an RODI or some jugs of Walmart great value distilled water.

So it’s just the ugly phase. Consistent maintenance and time is the solution for diatoms.Yeah I have a RODI system with a Resin cart so I ruled that out

I did eventually lol. It doesn’t bother me much. They already have all cleared out and gone awayIf that was my tank I would have to scrape that glass lol
