Found this little dude hiding under a rock. Anyone know what it is? Looks like a zoa? New to reefing...

I heard anemone and thought ohhh... maybe if I get a clown he would like them! Lol they look cool! Some are nestled amongst another coral (clove coral I think), they can stay for now.

Thanks ☺️
It doesn’t have to be an actual anemone for it to host a clown. My clowns stay in my green star polyps most of the time.
Clowns are weird and can make anything their host

So I've heard! Having to go fallow for 76 days :( (once I catch this chromis!), 2 clowns will be my first fish purchase! Considering an anemone so they leave my frogspawn alone... heard they can torture them lol

Not a zoa for sure, but cant really ID it at that size. It is a nem of some sort and when it come to anemone it will be a toss up whether is it a friend or foe, even the ones commonly available in trade have quite polarized opinions

I don’t believe so. There is also a brown star polyp that it may be, but I’ve never had any of them.
To be fair, they were more green, gone brown since I bought the tank and moved it to my house... under blue light they look a bit greener...

Even still, cool for now! Seeing as I can't have any fish, I'll take what I can get!
